“Any idea how good a robe is at gliding?” you ask. “It’s the easiest thing to get a hold of, since I’m already wearing it.”
If you hold it the right way, it will slow your descent a bit, but not that much, the wizard replies. You’d have better results with something bigger.
“Like a sail, maybe?” you muse. “I know where there’s a storehouse nearby that has some.”
That’s probably too big, but it’s the right idea. I suppose you could cut a portion off of a sail, though I doubt the owner would appreciate that.
“There might be one in the trash box. I’ll take a quick look, it’s not far.”
You run over and there is indeed a sail in the trash box. It’s quite dirty – actually, it looks like someone tried to burn it. But after consulting with the wizard, you manage to carve out a large square and tie it to you with some discarded rope.
You then set up your board, stand on one end, and when the wizard tells you she’s ready, you toss a stone at the other end. The wizard makes it heavy and you light, and you go soaring into the air. Your sail then carries you towards the roof.
Just before you land, you draw your sword and drop the sail. The landing is a bit harsher than you’d like as a result, but it better prepares you to fight whatever in the hells that thing is.
It’s not a creature, it looks more like an automaton of some kind, not quite human shaped
It’s kind of like a bog monster, slimey and goopey
Turns out it’s just a regular old human, but there’s definitely something off about them, the wizard says so
It looks like a humanoid monster fighting what looks like a disfigured lion, the humanoid is trying to open the jaws of the lion. After some inspection, you realize they’re fused together, it’s a chimera
