Find a way up to the roof. There’s something strange there. I don’t think it’s related to the attack, but it’s reacting oddly to it.
“And what exactly am I supposed to do about it that you can’t?” you ask.
You can hit things with a sword. I think that will work better than hitting them with magic in this instance. I don’t have time to go into the details of why, and you probably don’t really care.
You don’t, but you do still feel a bit insulted.
“How exactly am I supposed to get to the roof? It’s pretty high up. You’d need a real tall ladder, I think. I don’t suppose you can fly me up there?”
It’s technically possible, but you wouldn’t be much of a swordfighter if I gave you motion sickness, the wizard replies. Whatever’s going on up there has very strange and generally unsafe effects on ether.
“But you could help me get up there as long as you don’t need to cast a spell that actually reaches the roof?” you ask.
It takes a few moments before she replies. You tend to have that effect on people.

Our character is familiar with the surroundings, so she asks the wizard to help her borrow a big staircase from the firefighters. Or, a relatively small ladder from a neighboring building, she climbs, holds on to something, the wizard lifts up the ladder, etc
There are nearby trees that make great twine, you can cut them down quickly and the wizard will twirl them and make them into a climbing rope, one that’s super easy to climb. The wizard can then help you throw it to the roof by removing the weight
You both work together to build a makeshift catapult
She casts a spell that will help you go through the inside of the hospital undetected, so you just take the stairs
