You think it’s a statue, roughly the size and shape of a human. But you’re not sure, because your eyes get blurry whenever you try to look right at it. You certainly can’t make out any details.
The bindings also look to be stone, but in the shape of headless snakes. It would take some work to break them. You don’t have any good tools for the job, and the Protectors don’t carry weapons.
Looking some more, you see there’s some kind of symbol scrawled on the floor around the chair. You can’t tell what the purpose of all this is. Nothing good, probably.
Well, maybe the captive can tell you.
“What’s going on in here?” you ask.
“He comes!” the person hisses. “The vessel! Freedom!”
They don’t seem very coherent. But it sounds like an attempt to summon something through magic. You have no idea how possible that actually is, but you’d rather not find out the hard way.
The question is, how do you disrupt whatever the hell this system is. You don’t know what anything here does, and what the consequences of breaking it could be.
Well, now that you think about it, the restraints might offer a clue. Hool is the god most associated with snakes, so these headless snake restraints might be intended as a specific blasphemy against them.
In which case, perhaps what you need to bring into this system is something evocative of Hool.
A coiled rope tied into a serpent knot
A Hool prayer spoken outloud
Oil spilled in a spiral
An S shape marked on the floor with a stick or something
Maybe blood, from yourself
Hool values being on the ground, make sure to touch the ground with your hand before saying your next line
Kneel, show humility
Crouch walk
Prone?
