There’s one time you saw Anthony even more frightened than this. It was at an outdoor venue, when there were stormclouds during a performance. It was close enough to the end that everyone played the last scene out, but Anthony was on edge the entire time and rushed inside as soon as he could.
“You really ought to get down from there, Anthony. They’re expecting a storm tonight, and that tower isn’t very well-maintained.”
“You’re just trying to wind me up!” Anthony insists. There’s some doubt in his voice, though. “Go away, Mina! This kind of nonsense is exactly why I left the troupe!”
You can’t say you’re blameless on that point, even if you didn’t realize you were doing it. It was mainly Eva pulling pranks on him, she’d just get other people involved without telling them what she was actually planning. But, you understand why he wouldn’t entirely trust you.
And while you could try to untangle that old unpleasantness, this is not a good time or place for it, especially through such an awkward line of communication. So you think you’ll have to settle for making the storm seem a little more real.
If you’re near the brewery still, grab an empty keg or metal drum to mimic distant thunder
You see a water hose nearby, you could fake the smell of rain by spraying the dirt, even if he’s high up, you know his sense of smell is really good
Ask the Greblins for some help, grab a big leaf or a piece of cardboard or whatever, to simulate a strong wind
The protectors might have a big flashlight, you could make the thundering more convincing by flashing the windows of the tower
