“You can’t stay up there. If you don’t come down soon, there are some greblings who are going to make their way up one way or another,” you explain calmly. “So either you learn to deal with this fear of yours, or you come down now and I can tell them to stay out of your way.”
“I, I can’t,” Anthony replies. “Look, it’s not as if I want to be afraid. I just can’t help myself.”
“Then at the very least let me into the tower,” you reply. “We’re worried about what you might do if something scares you when you’re all the way up there by yourself. What if a huge bird flies by and you panic?”
“Well, I’d be a lot safer in that case if somebody hadn’t broken the window,” Anthony grumbles. “Just leave me alone. I’ll be fine up here.”
Ugh, you remember him being stubborn like this back in the day, too. You may have to resort to more drastic measures. Most of the methods you can think of from his past episodes required the cooperation of several troupe members, and you’re not sure the greblings can help you carry them out.
There is one idea you can try, but it might well make things worse. You don’t see a better option, though.
Guilt trip him, mention Minnie is going to be disappointed if he doesn’t come down
Scare him further, tell him there’s a storm coming and the tower doesn’t hold up that well
You remember the time in the troupe, he used to be crazy about cider and bread, and you happen to have some spare coin. Bribe him with that. He doesn’t deserve it, but at least you can tie him up afterwards
