As Blade leans in close, Minnie reaches into a pouch and flings a mistflower in his face. He wasn’t expecting that. The flower releases its mist and Blade is caught right in the middle of it.
Minnie, of course, already closed her eyes and has grabbed a knife off of his belt. Then she kicks him in the shin.
A moment later, she vanishes, and there’s a man of Lef’s height and build in her place. Apparently, he decided to play the same trick. Though you wonder where the other underling went.
“After her!” Blade shouts, rubbing his eyes.
“After who?” Lef asks. “I just got here. Caught one of them, but she got away. Did she pull one of her stunts here, too?”
“That woman is not one of ours! Get her!” Blade declares angrily as he finally opens his eyes. Then he looks around, and blinks. “How did she get away already?”
“I didn’t see anyone, sir,” Lef says apologetically. “Now I wonder if we really are looking for the same woman. She’s a crafty one.”
Blade seems too upset to think about whether he recognizes Lef, which seems just as well. You’re not sure what to do next, but you get a mental message from Minnie.
That boss of theirs is way too stubborn. He’s making it a lot harder to clear out this area. So we should deal with him now while Lef is keeping his second busy. And I need a little help from you to do it.
You’re going to disrupt their methods of communication, whatever it is they’re using, walkie talkies, radio, word of mouth, a cup and a string. If there’s none of that, maybe the lights, if they have some?
They need you to weaken the scaffolding behind him so they can push him off
Minnie wants you to stir up a chaos through sound magic, telling people “the witch” got away. Then persuade them into splitting into several groups, easier to sneak around that way
Help Lef do something really dramatic to keep the boss’ attention on him, like, amplify his voice so he can challenge him to a duel or something. Then help him out during the ensuing fight
