A piece of wood from the scaffolding starts moving in a way that might look unnatural if you were watching closely, but it’s hard to do that when you’re panicking and even harder when you’re watching a captive.
It goes flying towards Minnie, who lets out a panicked scream. She’s the one moving the wood, of course, so it’s all an act. But it startles Blade, and that gives you an opening to fling another piece of wood at him.
His reaction time is surprisingly quick, but not quick enough that he can stop it without turning around. The moment his eyes are off Minnie, she hits the wood against a nearby building to make noise, and then drops to the ground as if she’d fainted.
Blade turns again, and lets out a deep sigh.
“Well, so much for the questioning,” he mutters to himself. “And we’ve got no place to keep her. I suppose I’ve got to drag her around until things calm down. Can’t exactly pass this off when everybody’s either panicking or being lectured by the boss.”
Blade starts walking towards her, and as he gets close, Minnie springs her trap.
As Blade reaches for Minnie’s “body,” his hand passes right through it — an illusion.
The real Minnie drops from a ledge above, landing behind him with a length of rope or a magical restraint.
She reaches for her pocket, grabs a small pill and throws it at Blade’s face, blinding him
She acts as if her body is completely broken, like I’m talking ALL bones, she’s really convincing at it. It grosses Blade out a little bit
Minnie throws a small bag which produces smoke, them grabs Blade’s side knife.
