You see a holy symbol of Alac on a sign, and that explains a lot about just who these people are.
Alac is, according to the legends, the god who created humans. He also has few priests, and consequently many churches that use his name are not, technically speaking, churches. Rather, they’re gathering grounds for people who think humans are better than greblings. Some people question if the official Church of Alac is even run by a real priest as they’re supposed to be, but whether they are or not, the official one is a more or less typical church. One that has more than its share of arguments with the Church of Reth, of course, but as rivalries between churches go, that one’s relatively healthy.
This is clearly an offshoot, however, because it doesn’t have the second holy symbol. This one represents “humanity”. The second symbol represents Alac’s actual domain, which is often forgotten. You keep forgetting what it is yourself, because you see it so rarely. But the Church of Alac always puts it above the symbol of humanity. Even if they had to limit themselves to one symbol for some strange reason, they’d pick the other one.
So you don’t feel at all bad about bringing the structure crashing to the ground with an illusionary cannonball. This causes the expected panic, but the boss seems to be very stubbornly focused on keeping people in the area. Even if that means grabbing them by the arm and yelling at them.
Still, it means more chaos, which has opened some productive space for Minnie. Blade’s still got her at swordpoint, but she seems to have a plan for dealing with him now that she’s not being watched from another angle.
She dramatically gasps, staggers, and clutches her chest as if struck by a magical backlash from the “cannonball”
She casts a minor illusory spell on herself to make her appear possessed, and starts acting like it, the guards think something holy just broke along with the structure
She summons a slight bit of light behind blade and says “they’re here!” Blade turns around and Minnie changes her face using illusory magic while running away
She starts acting ominous, as if she blew up the building, threatening the guards to get out of the way if they’re against her. Starts rising a finger and lights it up to sell the act
