This is a Bellingham and Burner hand signal. The usual way of performing one of those shows is to just do about ten or so short scenes, and just which scenes you see is changed every time. While the order is planned ahead of time by the troupe, hand signals representing the scenes are used during the show just to make sure nobody forgets what’s coming next.
Minnie is currently signaling the scene where Bellingham has to sneak into his own house, having bought a far-too-aggressive guard dog who won’t let him in. He gets Burner to distract the dog while he sneaks past.
Hopefully this goes better for the two of you than it does for either Bellingham or Burner. At least greblings aren’t very good at biting. And the door probably won’t fall on Minnie.
Of course, this is really only the overall shape of the plan. You’re going to have to improvise on the details. Burner’s approach to distracting the dog is to make fun of it, which doesn’t seem like the right idea here. You’ll need something that won’t get you in trouble later.
Not saying greblins are dogs, but usually dogs are easily distracted using food, so if you have something tasty on you, like a snack, you could use that to strike up a convo
Still thinking of dogs, throwing a bone. So maybe getting the greblins attention on something, and “accidentaly” throwing it away could work
Maybe making fun of someone else?
Pretend there is an overly aggressive dog inside
Go the Tom and Jerry route and distract the Greblin with an attractive female Greblin, maybe just describing her
