There are cracks in the opposite wall, and in the mirror they read “LOOK LEFT”. You probably wouldn’t have noticed this soon if you had just looked at them directly.
You’d let out a sigh right about now if you had a throat. Instead, you look directly at the wall, in case you’ve missed anything, then look left from it.
You’re looking directly at the shower now and are wholly unsurprised to see that water on the floor of it has pooled in a way to resemble the letters “LOOK LEFT”. The only question you have now is how many gods are in on this cosmic joke.
But then again, if that many are cooperating to ensure you get this message, perhaps it’s less a joke and more a riddle. Perhaps it has a meaning below the surface.
Look at who left the room? Well, with a little time ether, it’s fairly easy to do that. But the last person who left is one of the nurses… Susan, you think that’s her name? And she doesn’t seem to be doing anything unusual when you look back a little further.
Could there be anything else? You float around the room and think on it some more.
This room is where they keep lost property in the hospital. In short, things that are “left”. Is that what you’re really being pointed at in so many ways?
You look at the table where all the lost items are. You desperately hope for something distinctive that isn’t yet another message to look left.
And you believe you’ve found it.
