Swamped Chapter 189 Page 2

I have been isolated for some time, so I needed Sister Kenton to inform me who in town is safe to contact, the Loremaster  explains. We need to warn them of the leak and arrange new codewords.

“Of course, the nature of this sort of thing is that one of them could be the source of the leak,” Sister Kenton grumbles. “I have a lot of trust in everyone I named, but you shouldn’t just take my word for it. It’s been a year since I’ve last seen them, after all. Or someone could be spying on them.”

Caution is definitely warranted, the Loremaster agrees. But we cannot afford inaction. Even if one of them is working for the enemy, they will not be able to simply pass along the changes. If they try, the risk of being noticed is very high. It should buy us time, at the very least.

You’re getting worried about this.

I’ve got some people I’m supposed to contact, too, you note.

Then we shall discuss this on our way to shore, and plan out visits, the Loremaster replies. If possible, we should split up to handle two meetings at once, but we cannot do that until we know all of our stops.

“And you can start on that now, because I don’t think there’s anything else for me to tell you and nothing we particularly need either of you for,” says Sister Kenton.

A good point, the Loremaster agrees. He flies off, and you follow.

You immediately tell him about your contact at the hospital, and the sisters you were told to contact by the women in the ruined village.

The hospital is close to one of my contacts, and I believe we should head to that area first, the Loremaster tells you. However, I do not think we should split up right away – this particular contact is someone you should talk to.
